WordTrails® Founder's Edition, Signed copy

WordTrails is a physical product, a tabletop experience. 

It contains 300 chips, each carrying a word. There are 50 action cards, a spinner and 12 sparkly trinkets.

How WordTrails can be used is truly limited only by imagination.

For the introductory game, which works well for up to four players, begin by laying the elements out on the table, leaving a working space where you will build the trails. Distribute the trinkets equally among the players.

The intention is to build trails together using the chips and cards, letting your intuition lead you. The rules are simple: Take turns, no take backs, no explanations.

As you are building the trails, when another player lays down a chip or card that is resonant for you, kind of a “Me too” moment, put a trinket on their piece. Phase one is complete when all the trinkets have been placed. 

Phase two is to pause together and survey what you have created, perhaps sharing some impressions you had, without explaining.

In phase three, each player distills their own unique takeaway by arranging the 12 trinketed elements in their own unique way.

WordTrails has demonstrated a few key things:

1. It is an utterly level, extremely safe playing field for sharing. 

2. The removal of explanation seems to vaporize shame, blame, guilt, judgment and justification.

3. It offers a space where everything, without exception, is on the table for consideration and sharing in safety, with zero obligation to share more than you are ready to share.
