WordTrails is made up of action cards, possibility chips and trinkets. The trinkets are really the key to everything...the trinkets, and the one key distinguishing rule of this game: No explanations are expected or allowed. This is a space where everyone is free of needing to explain anything.

As players take turns adding chips and cards to the trails being built, everyone holds a few special trinkets. When someone plays a word or action that feels true or meaningful to you, you can place your trinket on it – a quiet way of saying “that feels real to me too.”

The magic happens when all the trinkets have been placed. These special pieces – the ones that touched different players – come together to form new patterns and stories in remarkable ways.
